A full-size outdoor sand arena is currently nearing completion at 7161 Wallace Drive (home of the Victoria Polo Club in Central Saanich, B.C., Canada). At the current rate of progress this facility will be ready for use by September. The implications of this facility for polo are truly great. Members and visiting players will be able to school horses and themselves much more effectively and with less consideration of the weather. Visiting players will have less reason to worry that their event will cancelled on account of rain. The game of polo will be more accessible to a greater number of potential players.
Many thanks go to polo patrons Steve Mann and Gordy Randall, the visionary geniuses behind this latest project to promote the ancient Game of Kings (and remember, you don't have to be a king to play polo, it just makes you feel like one).
So, just one more reason to join the Victoria Polo Club!
